Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez and her team helped distribute hundreds of diapers, baby wipes and other baby essentials to low income families in Council District 6. With the support from non-profit organizations and local businesses, thousands of families were able to receive vital aid during the height of the pandemic in Los Angeles.
Martinez and her team provided free laundry services to hundreds of families
in Van Nuys, Panorama City and Sun Valley.
Martinez and her CD6 team helped distribute vital PPE, hot meals to several hospitals located within her district. Beni Yaki food truck donated and cooked over 500 meals for hospital staff to show appreciation of their fight against COVID-19. #FrontlineHeroes
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in Los Angeles, Council President Martinez and her staff organized several events to help constituents in her district in the North Eastern San Fernando Valley. Martinez oversees city council meetings as L.A.’s highest ranking Latina and second highest ranking elected official of the city — right behind Mayor Eric Garcetti.
