As a multifaceted student of journalism, I take pride in being able to use all of my multimedia skills to produce strong and quick content. During my most recent stint at City Hall, I worked 6 months as the interim communications deputy for Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez. I photographed all of the President’s events which included important council meetings and community outreach. Under the Communications Director, I helped coordinate and create daily social media posts such as important COVID-19 updates while also assisting in drafting press releases/advisories.
I studied broadcast journalism at CSUN where I reported for tv news, produced Spanish language podcasts while also reporting for sports at the college paper (among other things). I am experienced in Adobe programs like Premier Pro, Photoshop, InDesign and Audition. I am also a fluent Spanish speaker and writer.
